How To Get Abs Like Pink
When Pink became pregnant in 2010 with daughter Willow, she received a lot of criticism for her 55 pound weight gain. Even with being in the public eye, she decided to wait 8 weeks after giving birth to start working out to return to her pre-baby body. As you can see from the cover of Shape magazine, she succeeded and looks phenomenal. I admire the fact that Pink took the time to bond with her baby and give her body a chance to heal before jumping into a strenuous work-out schedule. While she may have millions of dollars, the best trainers around, and the abilitly to hire someone to watch her child while she works out, it doesn't guarantee a body like she has now. Everyone may not have the advantages she does, but we all can learn from her motivation and determination to get back in shape and get healthy. No amount of money can buy the strength it takes to work that hard and see those results.
I know starting any kind of exercise routine can seem overwhelming when you get started. There are always questions about how often to work out, how many calories should I eat and/or burn, and terms like reps, protein and russian twists to deal with. My advice to you as someone who started at square one two years ago is take it slow. Or follow the advice from Richard Dreyfuss' character from the 1991 hit What About Bob, "baby steps." For most people it is not a realistic expectation to wake up one morning and start a new workout routine and completely change one's diet. As the quote says, "Rome was not built overnight." Take it day by day. Replace doughnuts with a healthy smoothie for breakfast one week and the next week add in one workout. Slowly work your way up week by week until you are at the level you want to be. The results will happen, not overnight, but through consistent hard work and discipline. Below you will find the three areas you need to change to get rock star abs like Pink.
An Ab Workout
There is no way to get a stomach like hers without actually doing ab specific exercises. I have read some trainers recommend an ab workout every day and some trainers who say every other day to give those muscles a rest. I think if you are doing an ab workout consistently throughout the week then you are on the right track. Pink says she works out five days a week with a different work out each time. Don't just do crunches and expect the same results. Change up the ab workout and try adding in different exercises that target the abdominal region.

The argument could be made that if you had the same advantages as Pink then you too would have abs like hers. I have met regular everyday moms who work and take care of their kids and aren't millionaires who are in just as good of shape. It all comes down to how bad you want it and how much you are willing to do to make it happen.
Eat healthy!
I believe this is the area that people struggle with the most. It is far easier to eat a bag of chips than it is brussel sprouts. I am like most people who get overwhelmed with terms like genetically modified ingredients, organic, and quinoa. It doesn't have to be as complicated as some people make it. Just start to make healthier choices at the grocery store and during meals. Lean meats like fish ,chicken, and turkey will always be better than red meat. Fruits and vegetables are better options for snacks and side items during dinner. It is about starting to be more conscious of the foods that are fueling your body and replacing the bad foods with the good. If you are making healthy choices the majority of the time then you are on the right track. Pink says in her article in Shape that the carbs she eats are couscous, quinoa, and brown rice.
